The Dance Collective
About Us
The Dance Collective of Clarksville was created to provide a different kind of dance studio, one that values education, artistry, community, and lifelong movement just as much as performance. We believe dance should be accessible, empowering, and sustainable at every stage of life, whether you're taking your first class, training for performances, returning to dance as an adult, or simply looking for a place to move with confidence.
Founded by Morgan Theis, a licensed massage therapist with a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and a background in dance, corrective exercise, and wellness, The Dance Collective was intentionally designed to bridge the gap between dance education and healthy movement. Our philosophy combines technical dance instruction with mobility, strength, flexibility, and body awareness to help dancers build confidence while supporting healthy movement both inside and outside the studio.
Our instructors bring diverse backgrounds in dance, performance, fitness, and movement education. Through continuing education and evidence-informed teaching, we strive to create an environment where students are challenged, encouraged, and supported while developing strong technical foundations, creativity, discipline, and confidence. We believe learning happens best in a positive environment where every dancer feels respected, included, and inspired to grow.
At The Dance Collective, we value more than technical ability. We encourage curiosity, resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for movement and the performing arts. Whether students are preparing for community performances, developing their technique, cross-training for another studio, or dancing simply because they love it, every dancer deserves thoughtful instruction and opportunities to continue growing.
We proudly welcome dancers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels, including beginners, adults returning to dance, students seeking supplemental training, performers, athletes, and anyone looking to build a more intentional relationship with movement.
As our studio continues to grow, we remain committed to the values that inspired its creation: providing exceptional dance education in a welcoming community where learning never stops. Through classes, performances, workshops, and future opportunities, we hope every dancer leaves our studio not only with stronger technique, but with greater confidence, healthier movement habits, meaningful friendships, and a lasting love for dance.
